Editor Guidelines

Editors of the Editorial Board serve as integral custodians of journal standards and the peer review process, epitomizing the cornerstone of excellence within ScienceHood journals. Esteemed for their expertise in diverse fields, our editors shoulder the responsibility of orchestrating the peer review process and curating the journal's content.

Editors are tasked with upholding and elevating the standards of the Journal through meticulous oversight of the peer review process. Their mandate encompasses managing manuscript peer review, rendering recommendations on paper acceptance or rejection, and fostering a milieu conducive to attracting high-caliber submissions. Central to their role is the discerning selection of appropriate reviewers within specific domains to enhance manuscript quality

Editors wield authority in determining the suitability of submitted manuscripts vis-à-vis the journal's scope, a prelude to the rigorous review process overseen by at least two subject matter experts and the handling editor. The final decision on article acceptance or rejection rests with the editor, underscoring their pivotal role in shaping the journal's content landscape.

Instances of misconduct or ethical breaches warrant immediate scrutiny and reporting to the editor and publisher by any concerned party. Furthermore, reviewers are duty-bound to apprise the Editor of any prior reviews of the manuscript and promptly flag instances of plagiarism or infringements therein. Additionally, reviewers must highlight any ethical or methodological concerns pertaining to the manuscript, refraining from direct communication with authors sans editor approval.

Responsibilities

Each editor within the Editorial Board assumes a pivotal role in the peer review process and upholding journal standards. Editors are entrusted with assessing manuscript submissions to ascertain alignment with the journal's scope while ensuring adherence to the following imperatives:

Quality Assurance: Editors are tasked with ensuring the originality and scientific rigor of each manuscript, safeguarding against factual inaccuracies.

Ethical Compliance: Editors must ensure adherence to internationally accepted ethical guidelines, including proper citation practices and the protection of confidential data, particularly in studies involving human subjects.

Reviewer Assignment: Editors are tasked with appointing suitable reviewers based on their expertise, thereby facilitating comprehensive and informed evaluations.

Decision Making: Editors wield authority in determining the fate of submitted manuscripts, basing their decisions on reviewer feedback and the manuscript's scientific merit.

Editorial Integrity: Editors must maintain impartiality in decision-making, abstaining from the disclosure of manuscript information to unauthorized parties and refraining from utilizing unpublished data without author consent.

Archiving: Editors are responsible for ensuring the proper archiving of published articles in reputable databases, ensuring enduring accessibility and visibility.

Editorial Autonomy: ScienceHood Open Access Journals affords complete editorial autonomy to the Editorial Board, with decisions guided solely by considerations of scientific validity and relevance, irrespective of author background or external influences.

"Publishing in this journal gave me the opportunity to involve Bioinformatics, which is a cutting-edge field with so much potential, into my previous research on Optogenetics and Artificial Intelligence. This experience helped me better understand how closely interconnected STEM fields truly are, and how many opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaboration to allow them to work together and, once again, change the world, as science has always done"
